It is a historical large area that is situated near Takab that belongs to Sassanid era.
The complex includes a lake, a Zoroastrian fire temple and a conical volcanic mountain, called Salamon’s prison. In the past, this mountain had been a temple at Manayee Period.
The complex was inscribed in UNESCO ON 2003.

Here, the number of houses in their standard shape is very rare that have been built currently. The majority of houses are man-made caves excavated inside volcanic rocks in a cone form and two or more stories.
Apart from its apparent beauty, the interesting point is that since the walls of the houses are stone, so it saves energy for their residence and provide a comfortable and warm interior in winter and cool in summer.
