Arriving to Iran / Tehran

Pick up at Tehran International Airport (IKA), transfer to the hotel.

Sightseeing in Tehran includes:

Finish the day with an evening walk in one of Tehran’s parks and transfer to hotel.

Note Since many international flights arrive in Tehran in the early hours of the morning, your first day tour will start after a short rest.

Note   Jewellery museum is open from Saturday until Tuesday, so, in case it is closed on your travel date, we will substitute it with another attraction.

Tehran / Hamadan

Drive to the ancient city of Hamadan or Ecbatana which base on the Assyrian inscriptions, it is the oldest city of Iran and one of the oldest cities of the world. The famous Greek historians – Herodotus – has called Ecbatana as the shining jewel of the ancient world but unfortunately Alexander invasion ruined this beautiful city and vanished much of its importance and wealth. Half day city tour of Hamadan to visit:

  • Tomb of Baba Tahir
  • Avicenna Tomb
  • Hegmataneh pre-Islamic town and museum

Overnight in Hamadan.

Hamadan

Starting another day in Ecbatana to explore and learn more about the life of this old city during its long age. Hamadan besides all its historical attractions has a natural highlight that is very famous in Iran and really worth to visit. It is:

  • Ali Sadr cave
  • Ester and Mordkhai tomb
  • Ganjnameh inscriptions (OPT)

Hamadan / Kermanshah

Then drive to Kermanshah, Enroute visiting:

  • Anahita temple in Kangavar

 A magnificent archeological symbol of both Achaemenid and Sassanid style; then drive to:

  • Bisotoun town

To visit the largest inscriptions of the world and one of the most important historical documents of the world that has been registered in UNESCO.

Like Hamadan, Kermanshah is located in mountainous area which has several historical and natural attractions.

Overnight in Kermanshah.

Kermanshah / Palangan / Sanandaj

Drive in the morning to:

  • Palangan Village

A beautiful village surrounded by Zagros Mountains and has an untouched landscape with lots of springs, waterfalls and of course a unique architecture. A moving- water river passes through the village so that has divided the village in to two separate parts.

After spending some hours there, drive to:

  • Sanandaj

Overnight in Sanandaj.

Sanandaj / Howraman (Orumanat)

Move to:

  • Howraman

 Another spectacular village that shines like a gem in the middle of valley. Its architecture is like Masuleh but since it is bigger than Masuleh called it one thousand Masuleh. Besides its incredible perspective, Howraman has some interesting ceremonies that “pirshalair” is one of them.

Howraman / Takab

Move to Takab, enroot visiting:

  • Zaribar (Zarivar) lake

 The lake is the homeland of around 31 native and migrant birds.

Takab

After breakfast, visiting an interesting attraction near Takab which located 45 km to Takab:

  • Takht-e-soleyman or Azargoshnasp fire temple

It is a historical large area that is situated near Takab that belongs to Sassanid era.

The complex includes a lake, a Zoroastrian fire temple and a conical volcanic mountain, called Salamon’s prison. In the past, this mountain had been a temple at Manayee Period.

The complex was inscribed in UNESCO ON 2003.

Takab / Kandovan

Drive to the north west of Iran with cold weather in winter, pleasant climate in summer, honey, delicious foods, luxurious carpets and etc. Our first destination in this part of Iran is:

  • Kandovan rocky village

Here, the number of houses in their standard shape is very rare that have been built currently. The majority of houses are man-made caves excavated inside volcanic rocks in a cone form and two or more stories.

Apart from its apparent beauty, the interesting point is that since the walls of the houses are stone, so it saves energy for their residence and provide a comfortable and warm interior in winter and cool in summer.

Overnight in Kandovan.

Kandovan / Tabriz

Drive to Tabriz. Tabriz is a good and may be best destination for those who want to enter Iran through Iran–Armenia border. Full day city tour to visit:

  • Tabriz fascinating Bazaar, inscribed in UNESCO in 2010
  • Azerbaijan museum
  • Blue mosque
  • Eil Goli
  • Amir Nezam or Qajar Museum (OPT)

Overnight in Tabriz.

Tabriz / Ardabil

Drive to Ardabil, Enroot visiting Sarein. The small town of Hot Springs and delicious Ash (A kind of thick soup) .Spending some hours in the hot spas.

Continue our way to Ardabil. This town gets its name from Avesta. It was Artavil and means holy place or holy town.

City tour of Ardabil to visit:

  • UNESCO world heritage site of Sheikh Safi –ad- din Ardabili mausoleum
  • Ardabil Jameh mosque

Overnight in Ardabil.

Ardabil / Zanjan

Drive to Zanjan in the morning. Full day city tour of Zanjan to visit:

  • Rakht shoykhaneh edifice
  • Zanjan bazaar
  • Saltmen museum

Overnight in Zanjan.

Zanjan / Qazvin / Tehran

Drive to Qazvin, Enroot visiting:

  • Soltaniye dome

This building is a UNESCO world heritage site and after Florence Cathedral and Hagia Sophia has the third biggest dome in the world. It is the mausoleum of Oljaytu, the 8th king of Ilkhanid dynasty.

Continue our way to Qazvin to visit:

  • Chehel Sotoun palace
  • Sa’d-o-Saltaneh Caravanserai

Overnight in Tehran.
